About Libala Seventh-day Adventist church

Libala Seventh-day Adventist church is one of the oldest and most historically significant Adventist congregations in Zambia. Established in 1967, the church was officially dedicated to God on December 5, 1976 by M. L. Mills, who then served as President of the Trans–Africa Division (later East Africa Division).

Our worship services are uplifting, Bible-based, and family-friendly, blending heartfelt praise, Spirit-filled preaching, and meaningful fellowship. At Libala, worship is not just a Sabbath event—it is a daily lifestyle of walking with God.

At the time of Its dedication, only Matero Seventh-day Adventist Church and Lusaka Central Seventh-day Adventist Church existed in the capital city, marking Libala church as a key pioneer in the expansion of Adventism in Lusaka.

Strategically located at the Nationalist and Chilimbulu Road junction in Libala Stage One, Lusaka, the church is easily accessible and widely recognized as a landmark for Adventist worship in the city.

Beyond being a place of worship, Libala Seventh-day Adventist church stands as a historic institution within Lusaka’s Christian landscape. For nearly six decades, it has served as a beacon of faith, characterized by vibrant worship, a strong choral tradition, impactful outreach programmes, and committed leadership.

Today, the church continues to grow as a dynamic spiritual community. In response to this growth, a modern church facility with a seating capacity of approximately 3,000 is currently under construction.
